Commissioner for Children's Rights |Meets with the Attorney for Courts, Family Reconciliation and Alimony
Dr. Hooreya Abbas Hassan, member of the Council of Commissioners, Commissioner for Child Rights, met with His Excellency Ms. Khamis Al-Zayani, Undersecretary for Courts, Family Reconciliation and Alimony at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments. Ms. Al-Zayani congratulated Dr. Hooreya on the occasion of the issuance of the decision of the Council of Commissioners of the National Institution for Human Rights appointing her as Commissioner for Child Rights.
During the meeting, cooperation in the field of protecting children’s rights was discussed in a manner that contributes to supporting and promoting the best interests of the child, in accordance with relevant international principles and standards, especially the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
During the meeting, the work mechanisms and procedures of the restorative justice courts were also discussed, in addition to the role of experts specialized in social and psychological fields at the restorative justice courts for children and the Judicial Committee for Childhood.
